Fred Albert Hilt was killed in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. He was born on July 21, 1916. He was one of fifteen brothers and sisters who lived with their parents, Leroy and Ruth Hilt, on the family farm near Marshfield, Wisconsin.
