USS West Virginia Veteran

Jenner R. Kittle, Chief Yeoman, born June 11, 1921, Saugerties, NY. He joined the USN Aug. 27, 1940 and was stationed at NTC Newport, RI.

Kittle served with C Div. in the USS West Virginia from 1940-45 and was aboard during Pearl Harbor attack. Also participated in Philippine Invasion, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Office of CNO, Office of CNR and naval mission to Lima, Peru. Discharged June 20, 1960.
He was VP, Ulster Savings Bank, Kingston, NY, at the time of his retirement June 20, 1960. Married, he has two sons.
