USS West Virginia Veteran

Eldon V. Willander, Seaman 1/c, born May 25, 1925, Clarkfield, MN, completed high school and joined the USN on March 22, 1944. He was stationed at NTS Farragut, ID, and aboard the USS West Virginia.

Discharged May 9, 1946, as S 1/c. He received the American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon w/4 stars and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon w/2 stars.

He and his wife, Ramona, have three children. He is a farmer and enjoys hunting and fishing.
