James Woolyhand was a Pearl Harbor survivor on the USS West Virginia.  He was reported lost after the Pearl Harbor attack and his family was not notified that he was ok for several weeks.  He remained in the Navy until 1966 when he retired. He remained in Florida until his death in 1985.
